Cinpres Gas Injection – which is in the midst of expanding its global presence – has significantly beefed-up its Chinese operation by appointing a new agent to focus on the mainland.
The company uses Polypro Technology Limited for spearheading sales and service for Taiwanese companies in mainland China, but has now called-in BI Electric (Shenzhen) Company to concentrate on Chinese companies.
The firm is a division of BI Group, based in the Longgang district of Shenzhen, and its role will encompass technology licensing, distribution, and maintenance of installed equipment on the mainland.
“BI is recruiting a strong locally based team with a comprehensive range of technical skills,” said Cinpres Managing Director Jon Butler. “They will provide training in the design of gas moldings and in the operation of the equipment, and help customers integrate the technology smoothly into existing manufacturing processes. From the customer’s perspective, it is about shortening the learning curve and maximising productivity, and they will have the skills and resources to do that extremely effectively.”
The relationship with Polypro Technology is a longstanding one and managers want the BI relationship to replicate that success. “It is important to have a route to market which clearly differentiates between mainland Chinese companies and Taiwanese firms, and we have managed to achieve that by bringing BI on board,” said Mr Butler.
Simon Simpson, Sales and Marketing Director of BI Electric said: “Cinpres technology will give global OEMs the quality improvements and cost reductions that they demand, and we are privileged to be part of the company’s development in China.”
Cinpres offers Full Shot, External Gas Molding, Plastic Expulsion Process, Cool Gas and Water Assisted Molding (WAM) technologies; the firm's product and technology portfolio has expanded recently and the new Chinese agency follows moves to similarly increase the company’s presence in South Africa and The United States.
